Additional Card or Authorised User
The News of The World MasterCard® Prepaid Card and eccount is too good to keep for yourself – add an authorised user and share money with a friend or family member in the UK or abroad or add an additional card to simply keep as a spare or use to help manage and control your spending.
Adding an authorised user
To add one or more authorised users is simple, log-in to your eccount online, select the "Additional cards " tab and complete the online form with the appropriate information. Remember to allocate your authorised user a secret number which they will use to obtain their PIN and to log-in online (if you authorise them to do so).
Your authorised user can use their News of The World MasterCard® Prepaid Card in millions of locations worldwide and withdraw from ATMs, in fact they will enjoy all of the usage benefits as you the primary cardholder.
You can also choose to give your authorised user rights to view their card information online:
- Allow the authorised user to view their card
- Allow the authorised user to move funds from the eccount.
You can choose to give either none, one or both of these rights to your authorised user by simply logging into your eccount online, selecting the ‘Cardholder details’ tab, ticking the box ‘Can access public website’ and entering a password for them.
Cardholder log-in
If you have authorised your cardholder access to log-in online then all they have to do is click on the log-in tab and select ‘Cardholder’, they then need to enter the eccount number and specified digits of their unique secret number followed by specified letters/digits from their password. Card details will then be displayed.
Adding an additional card
You can add one or more additional cards to your eccount. You may choose to do so in order to have a spare for emergencies or to help you to budget more efficiently, i.e. you can allocate money from the eccount to the additional card as required, keeping your primary card for household bills, another for general spend.
You can have up to three cards attached to your eccount and it’s easy to manage distributing and sharing your money.
